I wanted to create a simple and neatly finished warm pull through scarf for chilly mornings at the barn, and came up with this horse motif intarsia scarf. The ends are bound together using a three needle bind-off and are seamed up the sides to create a nice neat finish for the intarsia end. I used a full skein of Cascade 220 Superwash wool in color Aran for the main color and remnants of two colors (Cordovan and Jet) to create the  dark bay horse. Gauge is not super critical for this project so you could substitute another worsted weight yarn or yarns quite successfully. You could also change the color of the horse to match your own equine friend :).
